Since I’ve started my own music production company and record-label ASE Music I decided to release this track together with PsychNerD.
It is now available on all major platforms, such as Google Music, Spotify, Deezer, iTunes.

TanmaDance – I Am Nothing
Every now and then you come across music you wouldn’t really directly be linked with, but TanmaDance comes from the spacesynth-scene and we got into talks about this track ‘I Am Nothing’ and if I would be willing to mix and master it for them?
Since I am absolutely not afraid to step out of my comfort-zone I got to mixing and tinkering while thinking about this name TanmaDance, and I just had to know and eventually also had to ask…: So the story goes that the name TanmaDance came to be between producers-duo Tanner and Harman, through their two biggest interests, namely LEGO Bionicle and spacesynth music to (in Jay Tanner’s own words) “create a musical landscape befitting of the beloved, action-filled multimedia franchise”. Spacesynth music like that from i.e. Laserdance, of which these producers bear reminiscence and are akin to. The vocal samples in this track are spoken lines read from the finale of the “Mata Nui Online Game”.
It was fun and interesting to work on this track and I loved to mix and master it. Please enjoy some righteous spacesynth music old-skool style!

I recently listened to this remix again that I made a couple of years ago, and I felt I should remaster it. Now it sounds much fresher and balanced.

So we had this little jamsession going on… I programmed a beat and a bassline. Marc played some keys and then Ramona stood up to the mic and out of nothing blurted out these lyrics. In post-production I added some keys and finalized the whole thing just so you can all free your mind!

Some time ago I came across a little idea that Stephan Gervais (PsychNerD) had while going through the ‘Flakes’ ROM of the Sonic Charge Pattern8 plugin. I had an instant click with this idea and asked him if I could do a ‘remix’ of this idea (prototype) he had? Stephan kindly provided me the stems, I started composing, producing, mixing, and thus this track happened…

Grow Along is a project with some local musicians, artists and producers who gather together and just plain and simple create music and art from the heart and from the soul…
Various individuals came and are coming together under the very soulful guidance of Ramona van Batenburg to bundle forces and create not only music, but also organize get-togethers, events and soon upcoming the first festival. A place for aspiring or established musicians, DJ’s, artists, to come and gather, reveal their talent and spar with others to gain ideas, creativity and input, with the philosophy that the sum of all is greater than the individual. We provide a warm bath for people to develop and intertwine with each other. We range from musicians, to DJ’s, to painters, graphical and video-artists, (song)writers, producers, sound engineers, sound designers, etc.
