Carnaval 2017 is almost upon us… In 2014 we recorded a song under the moniker ‘Die Frohliche Freunde’ (The Cheerful Friends) called Afzien (Renunciate).
We weren’t allowed by the original songwriter to release the song via a label, but we feel it’s a shame to let this song go to waste and wither into nothingness. That is why we are releasing it this year TOTALLY FOR FREE via SoundCloud. So tell all your friends and family so they can grab this tune! For good measure we also created a karaoke-version for your own sing-along parties…
I think that Metamorphoses is one of the most overlooked albums from Jean-Michel Jarre (along perhaps with Geometry of Love)… But it contains so much good music. For a remix-contest for which I was way too late to enter I did this remix with gracefull thanks to Jean-Michel for releasing some of his samples from Hey Gagarin. Let’s shoot off into space once again and feel like Youri himself. I hope my remix will help you in the process…

Armandox – Industrial Fun(k)
What happens if you let Armandox loose on a Fender Rhodes Mark I? Well… something like this. Usually in live situations I love to fiddle with the volume-knob of the Rhodes to get her into overdrive and such. I guess for this track I took it a bit easy… and yes, you got to treat an old lady well, because she serves you so much better if you do!

Armandox – It Began In Africa (Radio Edit)
Back in 2002 I was sitting behind my computer listening to the album Zoolook from Jean-Michel Jarre once again, and in the 2nd movement of the song Ethnicolor I suddenly had the idea to do a house/dance track using a sample from that track.
That’s what lays at the basic of this house tune I conjured up then. I started recording (my own) vocals and processing them together with coming up with some kind of theme/melody to carry the tune on the foundation of a steady four-to-the-floor house-beat. Here’s the result…

One of the first tracks I ever publicly released was this remix of Dragon’s Legend by Italo-group Koto. At the time I was calling myself Eclipse and I released it with the Kosmik Free Music Foundation (KFMF), former KLF (Kosmik Loader Foundation) who were hailed as one of the first internet-labels ever to exist.
